Those of you without tansport what do you do?

I have 6 shows this year i want to take Bella out to and most of them are quite far away, well between an 1hr and 2hr drive. I am trying to decide if it is actually going to be cheaper to get my own transport rather than hiring each time? I'm guessing the transport with a driver is going to cost me somewhere between £100 and £200, have looked into hiring a horsebox for a day for £100 but they are so far away from me i would have used a tank of diesel just to get it to the yard

If i did get my own little lorry then i would be able to get my other mare out more often aswell but am worried about the cost? What do you think is going be the better and the most cost effective option?

I've got a 4.5t lorry which is great

It doesn't cost too much to run, it's easy to drive, it does cost about £500 a year in servicing/mot (maybe a bit less) but it's cheaper to tax than my car was (haven't got one any more). It's also really handy for moving house, as I discovered this weekend!

I'd get a lorry - if you want to go to shows, that's the way to go
