Hi everyone,

So I caved in and bought the filly.... I've got 2 weeks till I pick her up. Now I'm looking for any helpful tips/tricks/advice for transporting her; its a 4 hour trip back to the yard from where she is.
Do I keep partitions in/take out and bed down?

Open to any helpful advice

many thanks :)

I'd take out the partitions, deep bed, and not tied up. I've travelled a couple of yearlings with Gillies, and they have travelled really well with deep beds, loose in a reasonable space, the last one travelled on a hot day, and he spent most of his journey down from Scotland lying down flat out under the air con unit! Never had a horse arrive so well rested.

loose plenty bedding and no partitions mind you Kitten was delivered loose but with one partition in in a 3.5 ton lorry haylage on the floor she was as cool as a cucumber very happy she had a huge pile of haylage in her bit with her, on the floor so low down and no cough when she arrived Transit cough is common so dust free is best if possible
