transporting a horse from northern ireland to england

we used george millan. They were fantastic very proffesional from start to finish. Our pony after four hour drive and an over night stop arrived calm well fed, well bandaged for protection. With the rush after the sale we forgot to take her plaits out which they kindly had done for us.
 
I have used Lusks on two different occasions to transport horses to Scotland. Not the most fancy lorry and set up, but on both occasions the horses arrived, calm, not sweated up and for one mare in particular this was somewhat surprising, considering the last travelling experience before that was horrendous and she was a sweating, shivering mess when she got to me!

I wouldn't use McMahons - personal experience with them was NOT good. But I guess they will all have bad stories and good stories attached to their names?:confused:

lol you are right - I wouldn't use Lusks for the same reason!! :D So far nobody has said anything bad about Mullens. The only time they delivered a horse here for a client I was happy enough :)
 
Do not touch Jacksons with a barge pole. They picked my horse up and then kept him at their yard for 3 weeks whilst fobbing me off with every excuse under the sun. He was shut in a stable and lost a lot of condition. When he arrived his tail was red raw as it hadn't had a tail guard on it & he clearly spent the 22 hr trip without so much as a hay net.
 
Your right Rowreach - I had forgotten Mullens. They are excellent and I have had horses arrive at mine a couple of times and leave me with them and not a single complaint. Can't actually recall hearing anything negative about them.:)
