Transporting a horse from Scotland down south

I recommend Eric Gillie http://www.ericgillie.co.uk/ I have used them on many occassion, the lorries are all top of the range and the horses have arrived in great condition. The longest journey mine did was Maidenhead to St Andrews (about 500 miles) which included two overnight stops.

Yep used Gillies in December Edinburgh to Berkshire was about £350 I think not at home to check! Great lorries, very friendly experienced drivers :)

Another recommendation for Eric Gillie. Always used them and always had a professional and efficient service. Lorries are excellent and drivers too. Give them a call for a quote.

And here was me going to recommend.....

Gillies!

Mine has done Dorset to Dundee (£350; 2 overnight stops) and a few slightly shorter trips with Gillies, always been impressed with them.

As Gillies was highly recommened to me we used them to transport my mare last spring (Edinburgh to Anglesey). She was spoilt rotten and arrived fresh as a daisy. Another vote for Gillies! ;)

I've only ever used,em, Gillies - apart from once, when I tried someone else.
Who showed up 2 days late!
So, after that I used Gillies :)

Another vote for Ghillies I used them last year to pick up a horse I bought from Dumfrieshire it cost £250+vat. The woman on the phone can be a bit frosty, well quite scarey actually, I think she is perhaps a bit better for knowing, but as far as the horse welfare 1st class.
Ive also used Ken Gamble when buying horses from the South of England he is very friendly and accomadating.

Just to be different I will say Gordon Hamilton...

I used him because Eric Gillie was extortionate at the time (12 years ago). I was quite happy and the horse arrived in good condition with all the bits and pieces I sent him with :)
