Transporting to France

Has anyone here moved to France and taken their horses with them?

Just need to know if there is anything other than loading my horses onto the lorry and driving to France that I need to consider.

I may be transporting them from one place to another - e.g. a base in England for foaling if needed etc.

Anyone give me any advice?

I am pretty sure you need some paperwork which includes a vet certificate/statement that confirms the horses are infection free and healthy. DEFRA have something to do with it all I believe so you have my best wishes in trying to decipher it. Might be easier to ring one of the international horse transporters and ask what paperwork you need, many of them offer a service to complete this for you.
