Hi
My mare is undergoing investigation for what can be called erratic behaviour. Most of the time recently she runs around with her nose in the air and resists everything, won't bend or work in an outline, bolts or gets disunited in canter etc. Very occasionally though, she's lovely and soft but there's no pattern, last about a month ago at a dressage comp on a rainy day, her best excuse for foul behaviour. She's already on Regumate.
It's just occurred to me from having a knackered shoulder that clicks in and out of pain, that she may have the same thing, somewhere. Not having many clues as to what's wrong, she's having a very costly bone scan (scintigraphy) next week. Would that give us any clues if trapped nerves were the problem? I'm mildly concerned about spending a load of (hopefully) insurance money and being none the wiser - though obviously it could give us a full indication of something completely different... Any thoughts? Ta.
