I have a new 15.2 horse and I am not sure what size travel boots he would need. His breed is unknown however a vet suggested he is a thoroughbred cross or a warmblood so he is not big boned. I'm not sure whether to use full size or cob size boots.
Any help is appreciated - thank you!

My horse is a 15hh Welsh Cob and Cob size fit him well (think they are Masta ones)

On that basis cob size would probably be OK for your horse, but I may be wrong! I'd have thought that you'd be able to swap them if they weren't right :)

I'd say definately cob - if he's not got much bone, the full size ones will be too wide.
I think that you can get some that are tb sized though - longer but not as wide - can't remember who does them though, sorry

My 15hh welsh cob has some Robbinsons own brand full size boots that fit him well and also fit my old 17hh hunter.
However i did get some new Mark Todd travel boots and they are huge on the welsh cob and he has never worn them, so put them onto ebay yesterday as i no longer have the hunter :O(
I would stick with cob size as you should get a better fit, there is nothing worse than travel boots that slip down and get stood on.

Good luck searching :O)

My tb x cob (mostly tb) is about 16hh and long legged.
He is in cob sized bridle but needs full sized travel boots as the back boots in a cob size don't fit his hock properly, the bend in the boot isn't right!
