I need a set of travel boots for Sparky that come up v.large! She currently has Full ones and these barey fit normally and don't fit at all if she's booted (for hunting..she trys to dance on my head if I boot her at a meet) - so I need ones that come in "x-full" or "Warmblood" and stand up to at least weekly use & washing. Or a brand where full size comes up large perhaps?

Suggestions?

I have mark todd travel boots, I love them and they've stood up to a lot. I've got the cob ones on my mare, and they are big for her, she's a 16hh tb. So the full ones might be ok, I can't really advise though, sorry.

Premier equine have some in their sale in Large - it says for 16.1 to 18.1 so might be big enough? I've never tried them though.

I've tried full size mark todds on my mare (14" of bone!) and they were too small... I have now got her some polypad type wraps that have got extra long velcro so they'll fasten. They're the only ones I've found that are big enough for her.

Def. recommend premiere equine, I have them and they are fab!
Great value, tough and huge! My boy is 17h MW and I can get them on over comp boots and there isnt even a gap.

Highly recommend!

Thansk guys - I've got a friend measuring her large PE ones to see if they'll fit S..if so sale boots it is!

If you're after size, then the biggest on the market are the Heavey Hunter ones by Woof Wear!! Topper had some - they were the only ones that fitted him! I have the Large Premier Equine ones for B and there is not a cat in hell's chance that they would have fitted Topper!! They are just right on B! As you've met both horses, that will give you a fair idea of what I'm on about.

You don't find the Shires ones slip then E_C_W? Mine have a shiny lining and are the worst thing I have ever bought (except for my Rhino Runna but that's another story).

I have given up on travel boots and just use XC boots, but last time I used Equi Chaps which stayed up better than travel boots.

no i dont and to say shes a lively horse when travelling is an understatement. When she travelled in the wagon, normally the rubbermatting was over the partition by the time we got to the venue (even if it was 5 mins down the road) Shes loads better in the trailer.

Shes not the best traveller to say the least but the Shires have stayed in place on her - got to admit im not a major fan of the shiny lining especially as her legs can get quite wet with sweat when travelling

I love my Mark Todd ones and have several sets. They wash great.
On all of mine but one they fit great even with boots, but I have to say that thay are a little small on my big chap when he has his brushing boots on underneath. He's 16.3 ID x

Ditto the Mark Todd. I have them for my boy who has legs like tree trunks! I've had them three years and they get an occasional scrub, when they come up like new! He's 16.3 and has the full size.
