Travel Boots.

Bit of a numpty question here but am I right in thinking that a 14.2hh (approximately) pony would take a cob size travel boot?

Also, can anyone recommend me a good brand to go for? Pony will be travelling a long journey so really needs a pair.

i think a cob is a good punt size-wize. and i've got some ancient poly-pad ones which are amazing, really padded comfy and hard-wearing

Thanks both . I'll have a hunt for some Poly-Pad ones. I thought I was right but had visions of them being too big for some reason. Paranoia at getting it wrong probably! .

I've got a cob pair and they fit a 13.3, 14.3 and a 15.1

They're the horseware amigo ones.....got them in a sale.....they're very nice and easy to use.

Just earmarked a pair of Amigo ones. They do look good. In comparison, a Rhinegold pair came up and they don't look as good and there's only a £10 price difference in the two!

Yeah.....they do look very smart.

I have them in the navy/silver .....the matching cooler/travel rug looks well smart with them too.....if you were fancying a spending spree

Nooo, don't tempt me! She already has a travel rug so that's sorted. Just need travel boots and the Amigo ones look good .

I got some pessoa ones half price in the sale and they are brill! Really sturdy and smart But then the amigos are lovely to and probably cheaper

I like woof wear or rhino ones the best.

my sister bought Mark todd travel boots a while ago and they are fab. we really like them and tom has failed to take them off yet! His record is less than 2 minutes to remove his travel boots - the little s0d waits until you start the engine and drive off before he tries! We've done journeys of just over an hour and they haven't moved or rubbed or anything, they're just great.

Looking like Amigos right now. Mark Todd and Pessoa ones are a tad expensive! .

They're not going to be used a tremendous amount so don't really want to be spending £60/£70 on a set .

Just been scouring eBay and sod's law, there are two full size sets going for bargain prices. Perfect condition for less than £10 with post! If only she was that little bit bigger, it would save me about £20!

I bought the brown with red piping Amigo ones and they are really nice! The full size fit my last mare perfectly so i'm hoping my new 15.2 gelding will fit them too.

If I knew for certain I'd be using them regularly, I'd spalsh out and buy the Amigos but money is tight at the moment so looking at a cheap but fine pair of Shires ones. If I don't get those then it'll have to be the Amigos .
