Hi All :)

Could I have some travel boot recommendations please? Having looked through other posts on here I see Mark Todd ones are popular. Ive had Hoys ones for the last 9 years and they have finally given up (velcro no longer works and they are sagging).

I need something with the reinforced bit at the bottom, they MUST be very strong and stay up (no sagging) and ideally i'd like something that goes over the front of her knees. I like the look of the Bucas 2000 ones but have read reviews and most say they are fiddley to put on.

She can be a nightmare to travel, throws herself around, screams, bangs etc if shes having a bad day, on a good day shes fine. Hence I need something that will stand up to tantrums when she decides to throw them.

Obviously cheaper the better but am willing to pay if find something amazing.

Have looked at PE ones, Mark Todd ones and Bucas mainly.

Premier Equine. Very similar to the Mark Todds, but a lot cheaper. I've had mine 7yrs now and still going strong :) The Mark Todd's are slightly stiffer fabric, and do last well, but I have been very pleased with the PE ones, and they're fleece type lining, so again, they keep the legs dry and don't rub :)

I really like the look of the Caldene ones as her legs get quite hot (especially if shes being a pain). The Mark Todd ones have nylon lining (same as her old ones) and her legs would get quite swetty in them.

I use the boot wraps from Premier Equine, they are really good and don't move. not really like tradition travel boots but they don't slip either.

you could use the PE boot wraps and then use travel pads underneath than cover knee and hocks?

I have pessoa travel boots that are very smart and don't slip on my dainty tb's legs, they also have the reinforced bit at the bottom.

They are nylon lined but never found my boy to have hot legs after wearing them.

I really rate them.

Bucas i highly recommend, i had a pair of Mark Todd ones which were great but i did find they slipped down, WB legs seemed too big for cob size yet the Full size were a little on the big size so tended to slip unless i put brushing boots on underneath. where as the Bucas ones dont move around at all and cover the knees.

I love my bucas max ones :) never tried the bucas 2000 so can compare however i do prefer the way the max ones cover the front of knee compared to traditional boots that would have a join at the front they are also super fast to put due to the lack of fiddly straps however they never slip or spin :)

I have the MT ones, and although I love the boots for the fit and protection, their legs do get hot in them :( So if the Caldene ones are the same but with cotton they sound like a good bet?
