My 6 year old mare has never had travel boots on before as so far I have been travelling her in her Thermatex leg warmers. Before I took her on she had never had boots or bandages on her legs, so we have been taking it slowly and she is now bandaged on her back legs every night after work (she had a swelling caused by an infection and this keeps the swelling at bay).

I am now thinking of buying her some travel boots, but the Mark Todd ones I have are too hard for a horse that has never had anything over its hocks in my opinion (I have a full set in navy for sale still in their bag having been worn twice by Hannah who hated them with a passion).

So, can anyone recommend some good travel boots that would be suitable for a horse who has never worn them before?

Well my old mare oakey had some which were very very soft and almost floppy lol by robinsons so a good price so if they are a disaster not a big waste of money, also what size are the ones you have for sale

Ali came with cheap Shires ones (although I bought Amigo ones beforehand), they are very soft, don't offer as much protection as the Amigos, and tend to slip down sometimes, but for the price you honestly can't go wrong.

I have pro-lites - recommended because mine hadn't worn them before & they are soft.

I borrowed my friend's poly pad ones to take Daisy to the vets. She hates having anything on her legs but was fine with these. They are very soft

The only ones I can think of that are soft enough would be the polypad ones, polly product ones , or any of the budget ones from ebay or shires (essentially big bandage pads) we sometimes bandage over the shires ones. I have a set of travel pads and bandages, they are quite good as soft enough not to cause him to screw but offer protection and support. oooh! MT boots...pm a price if you wish ? (sorry QR forum being irritating)
