Do many people still use them?

I'm thinking of doing an equine car boot and wondering if it's worth including them.
We've accumulated a few sets over the years but now no longer use them.
Thanks.

I use fronts mainly because my front wheel arch is box shaped rather than rounded and in the horses standing area so I worry about a front leg being bashed on that.

I possibly wouldn’t bother otherwise for the length trips I do.

I won't travel my horses without protection, my friend did and he went through trailer floor and almost de gloved all his legs

Thanks for the replies. I'm now having a rethink.
I did stop using them because of the talk of overheating tendons, but older horse was an excellent traveller anyway.
Baby horse hasn't been far yet but thinking now maybe I should get him used to them for when we go out.

I don't use anything other than over reach boots but he's in them constantly anyway.
I'm pretty sure the world would end if I put them on him lol being the very particular, individual that he is.

It's very much personal preference, nasty incidences will of course always sway you one way or the other.
