I thought I would post this as someone out there might be interested.

I bought a mirror to put in my trailer to keep my horse company at shows. (He is fine travelling on his own he just gets stressy when we arrive and during the day standing around) He is fine once I am mounted and he is working.

Anyway,,,

I bought a Mirror from Ebay and I wasn't sure about the best place to fit it so I just fitted it with string and tied it up in the traier with him.

As soon as I put it up it was like magic, he instantly calmed down and we didn't hear a peep from him.

It also made the trailer feel bigger so perhaps that helped too?

Definately one of the best things I have purchased for a long time!

I have a Ifor 510.
I hung it above the jockey door.
I don't actually want to permanantly attach it to the trailer. So I am going to fit a thin back board to it and attach straps and clips so I can quickly hang it up when we arrive.
I wouldn't leave the mirror like this for a youngster but I know my boy so well.

Yes they are acrylic, specifically designed for horses - Stablemate mirrors have a sale on at the moment (you can find them if you google them).... I have a 510 too and they advised to put it over the jockey door - although I think mine will be a permenant feature so going to get Dad to screw it on
