My horse has developed a problem with travelling. He has always been good but just recently he is getting worse to travel . He loads fine and will stand quietly when on the motorway and will stand on the lorry all day but the minute we have to stop and start or the roads are a bit bumpy he goes beserk, weaving, leaping and bucking. Its awful. He is twice as bad if we are on a narrow lane with trees near his face. He doesn't sweat but it is not doing me or him any good.
The lorry partions are quiet noisy on the bumpy roads so not sure whether ear plugs might help?
The lorry is an 18 tonne and he used to travel in a 7.5 tonne, I wonder weather he has too much room as in the old lorry there was no room to move forward to buck but in this one he can- maybe I could put a breast bar on the partion stop him moving forward.
Any ideas?
