Right - my mare sweats when travelling but also rubs her tail raw ( it's a new thing). We went out this weekend and travelled to the clinic (90 mins away) and she was warm but not overly sweaty but had rubbed her tail raw. Coming back I improvised with a poultice pad, brushing boot and some tail bandages to protect to tail more but also put her waffle cooler on so it went over the top of the tail when pulled back. This stopped the tail issue getting worse (that's said lightly her tail - whats left is a mess!!) so I'm thinking I will probably rug her to help the tail issue as she's sore. What I'm wondering is what is the lightest rug you can buy I travel in please? TIA
