I traveled my 16.2 gelding in a forward facing horsebox and he hated it. He came off drenched in sweat and he kicked the trailer so hard it broke. It was a miricle he didn't hurt himself but this summer I want to take him to some shows around 20mins away from the yard and I only have a drivers licence not a horsebox one. I don't know how to travel him to these places without repeating the horrific experience or paying an arm and a leg for a professional to drive him. Anyone got any ideas?

Try removing the partition. Some horses cant balance when penned in and find they can stand on the diagonal and spread their legs without it in. It works for loads of horses, sadly not for mine though :(
