as the post title, I am just having a little stress about having forgotton things i need, am hoping i havent forgotten anything obvious, but in case i have can you suggest things i may need, many thanks in advance

A ready stable or field. Water, hay...etc.
My horse went from Glasgow to Hull then back again (6 months later). She does travel extremely well but didn't need anything special. Travel as per large company's instructions - without rug or boots and didn't have a scratch.

Do you mean immediately he arrives?

A patch of grass or a school to stretch his legs in and have a roll, give him a bit of time to chill out and get his bearings.

This ^^
If he has been couped up for hours I would give him some stretching and rolling space (with water and hay available) so he can chill a bit and stretch his legs. Then a stable with a nice deep bed.

Thanks, I knew I would of over looked something, letting him stretch his legs seems so obvious now lol

He will probably want to have a wee, so either a stable with shaving or straw, do not forget if he is not used to travelling he will be weary for at least a couple of days. In actual fact, compared to some competition horses, he is not travelling a long way. I was stable manager at a competition some years back, and two french horses who had travelled in a trailer arrived in the early hours of the morning, I still have somewhere photos of them a day later, flat out and sound asleep in their temporary stables. They had travelled from the south of France to Ireland, luckily their rider knew what he was doing and arrived almost three days before the competition (had checked with us first) and they jumped quite beautifully in the show.

When we got ouqg exracer from the TRC it was a 5 1/2 hour journey.....when he came off he had a hose off as sweated up and a walk around then straight into the stable.

Defo a leg stretch!

Wee and a roll

Now the rest depends upon the transporters ATC and what they did during the journey also depending upon the vehicle used as well.
