Travelling a horse without a partition

How do you travel your horse without a partition?

I have travelled him once cross tied (we didn't have a full length breast bar) as we didn't expect him to not load with the partition. I do want to eventually get him to travel with the partition but in the meantime it will be without.

Always with a full length breast and breaching bar. Cross tied. One happy horse

We traveled ours for years in a 505 with no partition just breast and breech bar

Yes, I do this all the time. Often Im using the trailer for a mare and foal so obviously no partition, then it tends to just get left out if Im taking one horse out as im lazy

I would personally, always use one. They aren't expensive to pick up second hand
