Hi,

I'm a newbie to the H&H forum and thought I'd ask for some advice :-)

I've recently bought a trailer to take my horse places and thought I should get a pooper scooper for tidying up after him whilst away. I wondered what people did with their pooper scoopers while atually travelling?

Last time (the first time) I went to a competition, I stuck it in the boot on the way there as it was clean but then used it at the show and stuck it in the boot on the way back. Only problem is that it stunk as you can imagine! I didn't think it'd be a good idea to travel it in the trailer with the horse unless I could secure it somehow... any advice?

I put mine at the front of the trailer underneath my water carrier and secured with bungee ropes, never moved and stops the smell in the car!

I have a short handled spade and a medium tubtrug, I use a feed bowl cover over it on the way home so pony does not have smelly poo under his nose! I don't secure mine as the weight of the poo holds it in place anyway. (small forward facing 2 horse lorry not trailer but same principle)

We have a pooper scooper in our trailer, along with a broom, bucket, travel box with boots, brushes, portaloo!!, we only ever travel one horse so not a problem, secure every thing back with bungee straps. Also usefull to hang rugs up out of the way.
