Travelling foals

Can someone advise me on travelling a 2mth old foal with Mum. We would really like to take our filly foal to B.E.F. evaluation at Dyce if it goes ahead, but will take us about 3hrs. Is that too long for a young foal? We will go down the night before, so she doesn't have to make 2 long journeys on the same day. Would really appreciate some advice please.

I recently travelled my 6 week old foal 5 hours as i was moving house, she was loose with the mare and lay down most of the way. She travelled fine and came leaping off the ramp at the other end!
