So you think you've taken all the precautions: you've chosen a well-respected make of lorry, you've got padded partitions, you've got head boards, safety tie ropes, stall chains, rubber floors and walls etc. You've put bandages, boots, tail guard, rugs, poll guard on the horse. You've loaded him in a leather headcollar just in case.

Then you unload after a FIVE MINUTE journey and what do you find?

Yup, should have got him a padded hood!

ps He had to travel that short distance by lorry rather than walking because I had five to bring back as quickly as possible.
 
Honestly, you get these bloody horses and feed them and house them and they cant even have the common decency to read the books! Bloody ponies....

Bad luck! At least its not broken the skin, although it aint pretty. Kisses for the boy!
