Hi Everyone
Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and therefore can suggest a solution to the following.
I have a young show cob who is reatively inexperience at travelling and has a habit of pawing quite a lot whilst travelling (when stationary or moving)
This in itself is a little irritating but he isn't doing anything dangerous and I am hoping this will lessen with time and experience.
My problem is that the last two times I travelled him the breast bar in my Ifor William Trailer (510 if it makes any odds) has fallen down.
The first time this happened I thought I must have forgotten to put the pin in and therefore the bar would have just bounced out of place so on the return journey I made sure that I had definately secured the front bar with the pin and set off on my way. Low and behold when I arrived home the bar was out again.
I am guessing the when he is pawing it is wriggling the linchpin out and then the bar is falling down.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so do you know of anything that can be used as an alternative to the linchpin for securing the bar?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated no matter how far flung they might seem.
