Travelling long distances??? Any tips?

I'm taking my mare on a 6/7 hour trip in Jan in a trailer very excited to have her at uni with me but very nervous about the travelling part! Shes very good and sensible but is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable? (and less stress and worry for me) Its the longest trip i've ever taken a horse on!

Any tips would be great!!!

Just drive steady and give her a big haynet to keep her happy, maybe have a 2nd one ready to stop and put in for her halfway and offer water if needed

We took our mare from Northumberland down to my daughter in Southampton, a 9 hour journey, frequent stops every couple of hours, to check her and offer water, (refused) she arrived calm and interested in her new home, loves the New Forest, the options were pts, she's now a different horse, so the right decision was made
