Hi

Im taking my horse on a long journey to the seaside soon, possibly 3 hours ish.
My horse is 20 though and I was a bit worried he would be stiff or uncomfortable so wanted some advise.
Should I rug him, shouldnt I, even if its warm should I put fleece on anyway to stop him getting a chill etc.
I was thinking of putting stable wraps on to support his legs instead of normal travel boots.
I was then thinking of feedin hayledge for the journey to keep him happy. He will be in with another horse to keep him company.

Any advice appreciated. :o)

I wouldn't rug him unless in a thermatex or something similar to wick away sweat.
Bandages for support are fine, having said that, I never put anything on my horses' legs for travelling.
A net of haylage is a good idea, not sure how much they actually eat on the way though;)
