I will be going to see a yard this weekend, 1 to work at part time just 5 mornings a week and 2 to possibly stable my new mare there only thing is it's like 20-30mins away in car and they don't do t/o in winter, the website of the yard looks lovely but I'm uming and ahhring about it a bit due to the travel involved to go to work as it's only part time, but then I could tend to my horse in afternoon everyday, and she would be put on full livery, they have said they will do something with the livery costs, as the wage's are only minimal, I have run this though hubby too so he is aware of situation.
I don't work at mo so to have a job even part time would be great and to be then able to spend the time with horse after work til I go home....

How would this sound to you?

I am going to see the mare 1st wkend of December, but won't be getting her til January.

Is this reasonable do you think?
My petrol costs would be roughly £30/wk I have a 2.0ltr car

You need to weigh up the cost of travelling there and the quality of the livery for your horse -vs- what they are paying you - why is it minimal wages ?

Minimum wage....as most horse jobs, I am sceptical about the distance and no winter t/o....although I will be able to excersise her once I finished at lunchtime....but not quite the same is it?.
