Does anyone use two breech bars behind their horses?

I ask because my mare tried to back out of the trailer the other day but the breech bar was up, I could see her getting her bottom over it and then tipping herself over backwards as she kind of shimmied her back end up, however, if I use the higher setting she could get under it, so I thought maybe buying a 2nd bar and putting two behind her would stop her from doing this in future.

I did tap her bottom with the schooling whip when she tried to do the same again the day after, and she did move forward but it does worry me that if this fails next time we might have a nasty accident as there are no quick release bolts on the back of the trailer.

If it stopped a potential accident then I definately would try it, dont see why it would be a problem? I guess technically she could kick out and get a hind leg stuck in between the bars but I think I'd be more concerned about just trying to stop her tipping herself over backwards right now!

I think for the sake of £40 and my sanity, its worth a try. If she did kick out backwards is suppose there is the risk of her getting her leg stuck, I hadn't thought about that, but as you say im more concerned with her having a nasty accident. We have just got to the point now that she is loading nicely and quietly, she just gets a little impatient when she thinks its time to come off hence sitting on the breech bar.

If the bars can be released from the outside, make sure you have a suitable allen key/screwdriver in case this happens.
