My young mare(7Yr old) was always super to travel in my box(rear facing equitrek)
My neighbours kids been using her for Pony club exams and they started using their box(forward facing Cheval)
Mare started really disliking their box to the point where she would step on the ramp and shake all over, so we went back to my box which she runs up into.

My issue is, is since that episode, when she is travelling my Equitrek she is very agitated, kicking the walls/divider and weaving as we are moving.
She has a big likit and hay net in front of her but doesn't make a difference.
She is happy to stand on the box when at venue etc its only as we are moving.

She is doing her last outing with kid this weekend and then Ill give her down time as I think she's a bit box sour :(

It can often be the early signs of problems especially in hocks sadly. It may be coincidence that it started with the forward facing lorry but forward facing is harder on the hocks which is partly why some are happier rear facing, which may have masked the issues. I would have a vet workup. Search on here for other posts on exactly the same issue for any other ideas.

I had a similar thing when a pony went out on loan. The people that took her were very bad drivers, he roared out of yard at full speed when he picked her up and I could hear her stress out when they took the first corner up the road. Got a text a while later saying she was a bad traveller and scrambled. I had never had an issue with her doing that while I had her. I diplomatically tried to say I drove slowly with box so might be that? did you see how they drive?

Yes, I travel nearly every time they took her out. Only thing I can think is that they were taking her out ALOT during the time they were using her.
Whereas I would only normally compete every second weekend with her so she was used to only going in box a few times a month.
I wonder has the increase in outings and the fear of their smaller box made her anxious.
