travelling??

i'm travelling my 3 year old to show about 40 miles away, he'll be the only one on the lorry. would you boot him? he has never been booted and i didn't know if it would cause him more stress. plus i'll have to go buy some. so what would you do???

Are you travelling him today? I not why not try and accustom him to it beforehand.
That said my old YO never used to travel his youngester in boots, but seeing the damage one of the horses on my current yard has done to itself WITh boots on, I'd be inclined to put them on for the extra protection.

The problem I have with my baby is he has skinny legs and boots slip when he is messing about at the ramp - therefore I use bandages, they stay put, give the protection and tend not to feel as weird as boots. Good luck!
 
thanks for the replies, the show is next week. do you all use gangees(sp) is that what it's called underneath the bandages
 
I think the term is gamgee? lol god I dont know. You can buy specific travelling pads that are tapered to fit the leg too from somewhere like robinsons.
