Let me introduce myself, I am Treacle, I'm a 13 hands, five year old Steel Grey Mountain & Moorland pony and quite attractive if I may say so myself! Well I had a bit of a shcok a few months ago my old mam sold me cos I was too small for her ever growing daughter, charming eh. My 'new' mum came for me in a very nice car and trailer, so I thought 'hmm doesn't look too bad, i'll go and see where I am going'. So off we went to a very nice place in the country. Had a look around looked nice horses and got a cosy stable, so far so good. Said 'new' mum seemed ok as did my new jockey 'Katie'. Sussed place out and it seemed I had a big sister, and very attractive she is too (if only I was a bit taller!!), heard on the grapevine she used to be a racer and then evented before my new mum got her, my mum is a bit of a wus when it comes to jumping so she ponces around instead, I think its called dressage! Well apparantly sis can be a bit naughty, and some of the other horses on the yard tell me she is King Pin around these parts and to watch out for her cos she is dangerous at both ends if you go too near!!! Pleased I didnt go in a field with her whilst I found my feet, so ended up with the other ponies, they welcomed me with open arms and I've had a lovely time grooming them and getting same back and we have played most days. I have been a bit naughty over the past three months, thought I'd test out the waters, who wouldn't!! Got into trouble with new mum and had Katie blubbing a few times, but heard the words 'be sold' so decided I quite like it here and quite like mum and new jockey so I've decided to behave myself. it's great I'm being fussed galore now, result!!! But back to story of me and my big sis.... been out on a few hacks with her, ive told her take a chill pill she is one stroppy mare!! All the time keeping out of the way of her front and back end. Anyway found myself in the trailer with her a couple of weeks ago, I thought 'oh good we are off on a jolly'... no such luck this nice looking lady came in the trailer when we stopped and stuck a needle in mine and sis's neck. Couldn't believe it, it hurt!! Sis was ok that day with me cos she was feeling sorry for herself (she does that a lot)!
Well I was in the paddock with my girlfriend the other day when low and behold I got dragged away from her and put in a big field with the 'big boys', mum has decided I can have some grass cos I don't get fat like the other ponies. Scanned the place, phew big sis not here, good sign!! Talk about false sense of security, listen up I'm no wimp but they are all huge compared to me and obviously a threat as I am so attractive (he he) so they picked on me all day and had to stand on my own unless I wanted to be chased at a million miles an hour by a lot of teeth on legs! Was pleased to see my mum come to give me my tea, I couldnt get out of there quick enough!!
Had my tea, then you won't believe what happened, I got put in a field on my own with big sis, 'to bond' I heard my mum say, does she not think I've been through enough this day. Well that was two days ago, Ive been chased away from the gate but that's about it, 'Miss High and Mighty' seems to be ignoring me!! But progress is in sight, I couldnt get within 30 feet of her at first, this morning she was a whole '10 feet' away from me grazing and actually looked at me. I knew she would warm to me, who couldn't resist my charm!!!
Well I'm off to see if I can sneak a bit closer, I will keep you posted on my progress.....
