I could put this in SY but wanted opinions from in here who are more likely to try and kill them like I do. I like the look of the Treadsteps Pros half chaps better but my Ariat Classics have really lasted (dying now aged nearly 4 years). So opinions over which is best please!

Or is there another make I should be looking at which do long lasting and nice to look at chaps?
 
I have had my Tredstep half chaps for 10 years! They are in need of replacement now but only because the elastic has broken and they look a bit muddy, the stitching etc is still all intact.

I will definitely be buying another pair of Tredsteps, fab chaps that last forever!
 
I prefer the Tredstep to Ariat - but mainly because I have skinnie minnie legs and the ariats were massive round my ankles.

My old tredsteps - the original suede ones I have had for 12 years and still use them - they are indestructable!

I haven't used my Treadsteps a great deal, but when I do use them I am very mean to them, and they get absolutely trashed.... but they will not die! Love them

I prefer ariat but in the end I think they are as good as each other. When I bought my Ariat gaiters my saddler (who I know as friend as well) said that the only reason I will have to get any more was if I grow (and seeing as I'm still 16 I will) and he said he has had his for years!
