Hiya
I have a 14.2 Irish sports pony who is 12 yo and year ago was diagnosed with cushings.. He's been on 1 tablet of pergolide a day and is absolutely fine on this he has had 2 blood tests since starting medication and cushings levels are fine.
In the long run though the pergolide is going to work out very expensive and I saw an article in horse & hound regarding angus cachtus with treatment of cushings .. I asked my vet about this but they said it's not scientifically proven to work and didn't no much about it but after reading into it I have read different.. Just looking to see if anyone has had experience of using angus cachtus relating to cushings treatment. He's doing great on tablets last thing I want to do is put my horses health at danger. Any info would be great. Thanks!!
