well just to put a spanner in the works there are osteopathic treatments that can be used for all sorts of visceral problems, no doubt an equine osteo would be able to give you more info- i'm not quite there yet!

We use either 10ml of framomycin(sp) in 40 mls of water and 1 bottle of crystapen in 10 mls of water put in one after another.
or 1 bottle of excenel powder mixed with 100ml of water.
All water sterile of course .
Some mares will have a saline washout at some point as well , each case treated individually but all then treated with varying amounts of injections of oxytocin at 3mls a go.
Some mares will be injected immediately and some left 4 hrs before 1st jab.
Some mares will have oxytocin for as long as five days after ovulation , others will have only one or two.
Many mares will have an oxytocin jab 4 hrs after covering then washed out , others differantly.
They are all individual and treated accordingly.
