Treats for a laminitic

My cob came down with stress laminitis a few weeks ago and is on box rest, although its not a food type laminitis the vet has got him on a hay, water and chaff diet - was just wondering if there is anything else that we could give him food wise for a change eg swede or something like that. i used to feed them to a lamanitic horses i used to ride and they never did any harm at all

my boy had lami in the summer, I was told in the acute stage not to give anything but the soaked hay/chaff. Felt mean not even giving him a carot!

My pony is laminitis-prone and loves the sugar-free Polos. My friend's horse, also laminitis-prone, is very fond of celery, which her vet says is a suitable snack for laminitics...sadly, my pony isn't very keen on it.
