Does anybody know what Treborough XC is like please? Considering doing the BE80 there in August but it's right at the limit of the distance I'm prepared to travel (from Cardiff) so want to know if it's worth it!

The aim is for it to be a confidence builder for a BE90 at West Wilts so ideally it would be a little bit testing but not terrifying for a nervous nelly on a very genuine but a bit lazy horse. If it's nice and flat that would be even better as I have a phobia of galloping downhill (trying hard to get over it, but it doesn't help being on the world's clumsiest horse!) and he's not a great climber. We got 27 time faults at Chepstow between me dawdling downhill and him not dealing with the uphill sections very well (plus a very silly stop!).

If not, it'll be the 80 at West Wilts (I'm told it's flat there!) and a 90 next year.

(Also posted in tack room in case people from further afield have been there)

I have not seen it for a few years, but when I was in the area the course was lovely and had plenty of easy, confidence giving fences for kids(or adults!) Although Exmoor has some pretty steep hills,Treborough XC is on the top of a hill so there are no serious hills to gallop down, unless you decide to go 'off piste':D. There is lots of space, fabulous views, good parking and very friendly, enthusiastic course owners/organisers.
I hope that helps.
