Treeless saddle advice

Has anyone got any thoughts on treeless saddles? I've got a pony who is really hard to fit a saddle to because she's small, round and has a very forward girth groove. All the saddles I've tried (and I've tried lots!) have slipped forwards. Short of fitting a crupper I can't think what to do. Would a treeless saddle be better or even worse do you think?

It would depend on the make. I have a treeless that stops still on my current horse, but on my last horse it would slip forward. All I can suggest is that you try a few out and see what you prefer - many people will let you have a trial.
