treeless saddle pad!

Hey just bought My first treeless saddle- a torsion for my 3 year old as she is like a table so the only thing that would fit.
I have a prolite- would this work along with a saddle cloth as a form of a saddle pad as not keen on dishing out loads of money (up to £100!) on a special saddle cloth which may end up being just like a prolite combined with a saddle cloth.

I wouldn't use anything but a treeless pad recommended by the company, most treeless saddles are designed so there is no wither clearance just close even contact, so most convential saddlecloths are unsuitable for treeless saddles.

Can you not pick a cheap one up on ebay? Or sell your prolite etc to pay for one?
I'm afraid the saddles & pads come as a package!
