I've got a trekker treeless saddle for my gelding, when I put it on it looks like it fits well and has a good clearance over his spine. However I'm concerned that when I'm on board my weight presses it down over his wither, especially in rising trot or when I stand in the stirrups (I know you're not supposed to press on the stirrups to rise in trot but I'm working on that...). I've also noticed it ruffles his hair slightly near the back of the saddle. I use a equitex saddle pad underneath. Should I try a front riser to lift it off his wither? Or would this be too much bulk on top of the equitex? Maybe use a front riser with a standard saddlepad? I suspect I might have to have a fitter out but thought I may as well ask for advice here first, I would like to keep the treeless if possible.
