I have a just bought a treeless saddle that is soooo comfy but it is close to my horses withers can anyone please tell if they have one, if there's do it too ?
I can only tell you about my treeless which is a Total Saddles Solution and which sits very close to the withers compared with a treed saddle, but still needs clearance of about one finger.
It's worth keeping in mind that treeless saddles need fitting as much as treed ones, so try and get a treeless saddle fitter to have a look at it as soon as you can.
Depends which one you have - my barefoot is well above the withers on both the clydesdale and the cob - are you also using the correct pad for the saddle, if you don't you risk causing a lot of damage as the pad is essential.
The barefoot comes with three different pommels - standard which fits most horses, narrow - for high narrow types and wide for those that are table tops.
Sounds like it needs some shimming inserts. Most treeless saddles require a certain type of saddlepad with shimming pockets for those horses that require it.
