Im pretty sure they can, my friend used to have dressage lessons off Debbie Moore and I remember Debbie saying she uses one on one of her horses.

I cant seem to get a Normal saddle to fit my mare. She's Friesian And very wide and has very big shoulders and a Saddle with a tree seems to restrict her movement. so thought might try a treeless but didnt want to spend £500 on one if wouldnt be able to use it at shows. Like the look of the ones in tje new shires cat.

You do have to be careful for dressage with treeless saddles. They MUST look conventional to be accepted. I would think that you will have a similar problem for showing.

I use a HM SBS which is the old treeless model, now replaced by the Fhoenix (sp?). Pop onto Heathers site as posted by someone else above and ask some questions. She is very helpful and wont try to just sell you a saddle.
