Trekking centres/Riding schools- Middleham/Leyburn (N Yorks)

Hi all,

Could anyone recommend somewhere that we could go trekking/a hack while we're in North Yorkshire please?

I've tried google and also asked the people who we're going to see but both are drawing blanks.

My grand plan for my friends 30th birthday is rapidly going down the tubes (it was initially a proper week long riding holiday but time/small folk/work have got in the way) so any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

(Oh we're both alright riders, not brilliant, just normal happy hackers, so no lead rein places please)

Can't tell you about north Dales but know a couple of places in Southern Dales from when I lived in SKipton. Kilnsey Trekking Centre near Grassington/Skipton. Also Malham Trekking centre - but I think it has remained closed since owner moved to Devon (sensible lady!).

Try Arklemoor trekking in Swaledale, Swinton Manor Trekking at Masham and there is a place just outside Bainbridge called i think wensleydale Trekking.All are with in 10 or 15 miles of leyburn.
