My old boy went to a horse agility taster session with a friend on Saturday, and had a fab time - so much so, that he carted her home (I give her about four stone in weight) at a spanking trot, spooking with joy all the way, this sort of silliness normally stays with him for a few days. I rode him today, just a quicky, we are lucky to have a 30 minute around the block which is quiet lanes followed by an uphill Byway. Old boy wears boots, and today we were trying his new Easyboot Trail's out - I think he liked them! We went up that Byway like the very Devil was on our tail - flat out full on gallop, with me shouting wowowowowow like a Red Indian (yeah, I'm 44, what of it!?), and the old boy crouching low for maximum speed. Now I know that a 20 year old cob doesn't compare with a fit young blood horse, but when he puts every bit of heart and soul into speed, he feels like the fastest horse in the world to me - I love my Harl!
