Hi

Its been a little while since I have posted anything on how Ebony and myself are doing, so for those who are interested a little info for you.
I have been having my lessons when ever I can, and I really feel that things are at last starting to fall into place with my confidence and this is having a knock on effect out of hacks as well.
Last week I went out and a very forward going Ebony was well up for it, the horse we went with it known for napping and in the past Ebony would have joined in just for the hell of it !!
Couple of times horse stopped and when asked to take the lead Miss Ebony just marched past without a care in the world, in the end we just stayed in front and she took the lead the whole way round the ride, facing the sabre tooth tigers and such like being very brave, and me as well, always seem to stay behind other horses as I feel safer there, but as she was being so brave how could I let her down, it was great and I was the one turnimg round and asking if the other person was ok, just like old times (big grin) but today so made up had to post this, no one to ride out with and have to have help to get on and off, so when girl came up to muck out, asked could she help me get on and I went up the school, and did half an hour on my own, never done this or would have not had the nerve to do it but it was great Ebony was a little star and did all that was asked of her, even as the rest of the mob in the field had gathered round with heads over fence all staring at us and she did not put a hoof wrong, so made up :) Not a big deal for most of you but for me it was really a huge step forwards still can not believe I did it, lady has said she will always help me on if she is around so will have to do it again, not able to go on a hack on my own as it would not be safe, but a least now I can take her up the school, happy happy happy post it has taken a while but now getting more ups than downs, thanks for taking the time to read :)

Well done, so pleased for you!
You are now getting to be quite an independent rider, which is a huge step forwards.
Several months ago, you would not have ridden in the schoool on your own, but now you do. Who knows, you may well decide that a solo hack is a possibility in the future!

I'm really pleased for you that everything is starting to fall into place and that you felt confident enough to have a go in the school on your own. You have come a really long way and it is brilliant that you are doing so well!

Excuse my french but ....Bloody brilliant. Puts the rest of us to shame by a long way and some.

Your achievements are massive and I really, really admire you and the lovely Ebony.

We Want More of this!

Thank you all so much, you have stood by me when it was hard and gave me the support to keep trying and carry on. We did and now its slowly coming together, so just wanted to keep you informed when there was good news for a change. :)
