Hi All,

I went to see a horse last weekend which seems perfect for me, went out for a half hour hack and he didn't bat an eyelid at anything - went past a community centre with blasting music and children playing outside and people loading things into boots of cars and banging them shut.

His owner has said that if i liked him again this Sunday that i can take him on a two week trial to see how we get on - i really like him, so, do you think i should just ask for the trial now or go and ride again tomorrow to make sure and trial after that? I have only been once what do you think am i being hasty? :o

Also whilst on trial should i take out insurance for him or should the owners insurance cover it?

Thanks

You've only got a few hours to wait so maybe decide tomorrow once you've ridden again? Although it does sound like you've found a good one there and the fact they will let him go on trial says they trust in the two of you as a partnership.

Regarding the insurance maybe you could offer to pay the insurance premium for the owner for the two week trial? Make sure it is documented though regarding who would pay the first loss in the event of anything happening and ensure there is liability cover included within the policy as well.

How exciting for you, good luck, really hope he's "the one".
