I have tried it and it does actually make it a little bit more endurable

, I don't know why and I can't ask my cat how she figured it out, so my best guess is that it has something to do with the tearchannel that has some sort of connection into our noses.

I was a real horse-girl, from school straight to the stable, but realised I couldn't afford one of my own, and the lessons felt more like an exercise-on-a-horseback rather than education to improve, so I decided to spend my money on dogs and cats instead.
Today, others may think I could afford a horse, but only if it didn't need the vet more than for the annual vacc and healthcheck, if it really got sick I wouldn't have the money, so I still think I can't afford one.
I can't quite get into the "shoes" of those that presume their horse/dog could never end up with the huge vetbill.

Welcome to the forum Lapphund. Good to hear someone being realistic about horse ownership if maybe a bit cautious. It's like having children really. If you thought too much about what they cost you'd never have them. Check out the cost of insurance in Sweden before you deprive yourself of one of life's best pleasures for too long.

i don't have huge funds, i even paid for my filly in monthly instalments to my boss, and i pay insurance every month just incase anything goes wrong.
what kind of dogs do you have? i have a great dane and a black lab

I know I'm looking at it from the pessimistic side, but then I can't be disappointed and the thought is still there in the back of my mind...

I've had 2 Norwegian Buhunds, 1DobermannX, 1 Collie Smooth during 18 years of dogowning because I like to have more than one, but the last NB died early, in jan. 2008, only 12+ years, one week she was best-in-breed veteran in a int. dogshow and less than two weeks later we found out a large tumour was growing out from her heart and had started choking her. Still the vet said we'd found it early because she didn't have any problem with eating, so she died eating half a can of dogtreats.

So now I have my almost 3 year old Finnish Lapphund and for the moment also her three 2 weeks old puppies, and obedient as she is

, Jonna gave me two bitches to choose between. But as I explained in the To breed or not to breed-question in dog forum, I'm fully prepared to keep them all.

And since they've just started really moving around, the two cats are convinced that the puppies is deadly

, I'm preparing to start having potential buyers coming round and I've put up a puppypen out in the garden where I plan to spend most of my hours, I realised I just joined this Forum to abandon it for a few weeks.

But I'll be back, there's no rule stating only horseowners could get addicted to this place.
