As title says really, anyone used one? Seem expensive but really need to slow my horses eating down and he chews massive holes in his nets!

Did they take long to come? Just ordered one..says can take up to 10 days? My horse has distroyed one of his nets this morning :/ joys of having a hippo/horse!

I bought one recently.
It isn't as big as I was led to believe, similar in size/volume to the IV trawler nets (which are also very good) but it does seem tough and robust and the holes don't stretch as much as the cheaper nets.

Time will tell, I'm sitting on the fence so far!

Atleast i dont feel as gulity spending £30 on a haynet anymore! My last nets have lasted 8 years but have died a death after the box rest last year so im hoping these keep him occupied longer, if this works i may invest in another..

Mine has been amazing. Slows my horse down 3 times more than even triple netting ever did.

Said on the instructions some horses take a couple of days to work it out.....mine took about 5 minutes

I can see him getting angry with it lol just hoping he doesnt chew through it! He has a habit of breaking everything including snapping the metal chain on his door!

Mine came within about 2 working days.

I soak my hay and each week the nets are getting bigger, so they do stretch in capacity quite a bit (but not the individual holes, they haven't stretched at all).

I am feeding about 18kg a week less in hay (1 fat section of our hay a day roughly) since using them instead of double holed shires haylage nets. Pony seems to rather enjoy using them too (odd pony!)

Yes, splashed out on two!
They are great and really slowed down my hoover pony. They are good quality and the holes are a safe size for tying at low level.
At last pony has some hay left in the morning.

I've just ordered two, I've always used the furlong anti vice nets, and am currently triple netting these, so am hoping this might be better...

I think they are great two of mine have to be constantly restricted and both have learnt to eat when hungry with the Tricklenet because it's too hard work to gorge.
One learnt to use it immediately one took a bit longer.

They are great .. however I tend to give my horses a bit of loose hay with the trickle net. If they are in at night I give them one normal and one trickle. I feel the normal helps takes the edge of their appertite as I think they could do themselves a damage if they attacked the trickle net with too much enthusiasm.

It took mine quite a long while to work out how to use them, but they will last a long time and much cheaper than having to deal with a lami horse!!

I just dont think hes used to having to 'work' for his hay! He was on hunger strike last night, picked at it then left it so i will keep trying but making sure he still has something to eat!

I bought one for greedy ex-laminitic pony and within 1 day of having it,5 other people at yard wanted one. They've all got theirs now(both orders took 3 or 4 days to be delivered) and everyone v impressed. Some have had haylage left in am too. One is on bit of a hunger strike as is exceedingly stupid and lazy and can't be bothered to try much(she has half her net left in am-don't worry, she isn't wasting away by any means, the little fatty!) but
others all worked out technique
pretty much straightaway. Very robust material &we're saving on haylage &hay costs. Much less/if any wastage under the net too. So funny to see their initial reaction. They check it out all over(looking for a bigger/easier hole!) and then stand and look at you, like 'Er,hello! What is this? How do you expect me to stuff my face from this?!?' Our whole yard would recommend!

Invested in one for Cob, as he is a Hoover and munches anything and everything available (hence now also in shavings). He did go hungry for a couple of days as he couldn't fathom it, (he was a little porky at the time) but now he s got the hang of it, it's saved me lots of pennys.

That's what I thought at 1st and was well pissed off, till I soaked some hay and left it hanging to drain. The net stretched (but the holes didn't seem to get bigger), now I fit 14lbs in easily.

Have been using a Tricklenet since December and had been really pleased with it, but last week I noticed my mares front 2 incisors are really worn (she has previously always worn her teeth evenly, and non showed excessive wear). I am now starting to wonder if the trickle is the cause as this is the only change in her management. She doesn't crib bite (so not worn from doing that) and she hasn't worn a grazing muzzle for over a year, and has had the dentist twice for routine checks since then (who have always commented, how perfect the mouth is).

Has anyone who has been using their net for a few months noticed any excessive wear to the front incisors?? Obviously don't know for sure the net is the cause, but that is the only change I have made, so am now concerned.
