Just a happy post to update on a previous Tricklenet thread and to praise good customer service....

There was a thread in Feb 2013 about Tricklenets (questioning their value for money & efficacy etc) on which I posted that I thought ours were very well made,effective nets but that,due to their robustness,they had caused their own tie up string/rope to fray and snap. Tricklenet's owner (Equimo on here) replied that they had now recognised this (due to the net being so tough,it abraded the tie up rope) and if I emailed,they'd happily replace the string/rope.

Well,I finally (very tardy of me-got a busy life!) emailed Tricklenet,who replied by email within 10mins,apologising and saying my new,improved strings would be with me asap....and they arrived the next day:)

So,just want to say...excellent British product,handmade,extremely tough,hard wearing and excellent customer service. To any of those who doubt whether they're worth the money - try one - you will not be disappointed:)

(A livery bought a Shires small holed net to double net with a few wks ago-it was £12 and has died... There is just no comparison to the Tricklenets,going strong 2years later,versus determined net trashers too!)
I have no affiliation or link to the company,I'm just happy:D (and think good service and good products deserve a good report :D)
 
I understand if people that doesn't have much money wants to buy things as cheap as possible, but at the same time, if you want to have jobs in the UK, some people have to buy things that is made in the UK.

Besides, avarice deceives the wisdom in some cases. (That is a direct translation of a Swedish saying, tonight it is too late for me to try and find the English equivalent.)

Ooooo my rope has done exactly the same. Is the new one they sent you any good? As the one I bought @ B&Q is pants (never thought to email them, but might if the rope they sent out is any good)!
 
Yep,we tried various b&q ones:( Can't report on longevity of new rope yet as only got them yesterday but they are different to the original rope and sposed to be better,so will let you know!
 
I don't know what your friend did with her Shires nets - mine have just come through their fourth winter still looking as they did when brand new. I think they're brilliant value and great nets.
 
That's interesting. I don't like the rope mine came with, although its still in good condition.

Because the net is so tough, pulling the neck shut requires some force, otherwise my horse would just stick his head in the top, rather defeating the point. Perhaps that's why the rope frayed ?

They are strong nets and its nice to hear about good customer service, but I wouldn't get another one.

This ^^

I bought three Shires small holed haynets from Countrywide on offer at £4 each. They are still going strong 3 years later and still look brand new. Extremely good value for money!
 
ive just emailed them and they are sending me a replacement too my mum bought me mine as a present for xmas but has frayed already :( fingers crossed new one is better :)
