Tried and tested.How to become a tester??.

In the sister mags to H&H they do a tried and tested section on all differant products.How can you put yourself through to become a tester.It is always something i have wanted to do!!.Have any of you become a tester and how do you go about it!!.Thank you!!.

They tend to be writers of the magazines, or keep horses on the yards used in the magazines I think!

I have written over the years to most of the horsey mags asking this question but never get a reply

Agree it's probably people they know, but it might be worth contacting the magazine. Kathy Carter at HORSE is very good at getting back to you. One word of advice though - email is beter than calling people on magazines as they get very busy and stressed. And don't bother the editor - ask someone else on the editorial team. Might do this meself!

our yard does T&T for Horse and Rider.. it all started when YO wrote to them sying they had a good range of horses, owners etc and we do it every year from then on! You get to keep most of what you try too!

Is anyone else peed off with all the tried and tested giving glowing reports of everything???

Never once seen one that said a product was total rubbish....

Know someone who works on the mag or on one of the publishers sister mags I'm afraid. I've tested for YH and doing so again this year.
