Can anyone please recommend a good trimmer, or even a farrier who does good barefoot trimming?

I'd really like some eyes on / hands on help with one of ours.

Can you narrow down your area a little to help with recommendations? NE Yorkshire is a big place ;)
Would recommend mine but I suspect we're a bit far west (we're south of Thirsk)
 
I can't remember his name but I met a highly recommended trimmer at a yard near you a couple of weeks ago, he has a supplements company too, darned if I can remember his name! Might be enough for you to find him? Tony, Terry...?

I put 'hoof trimmer supplements north ' in to Google, not really expecting much🤣 But I got this! Can't find a name yet, but they look interesting! Thank you :)

Yes that looks like him! Pretty sure a customer uses him and is very happy with him so far.
 
Updating to say a HUGE thank you to SBloom for recommending Gary and Julie from Hoof Transformations.

We had a visit from them today, and they were both so helpful, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I could honestly have talked to them all day and night!

We now have plan in place, involving a slight but significant trimming change, and nutrition tweaks. With the promise of continued support, we're feeling much more hopeful about the mares hooves long term.
