Help desperately needed as we have 3 hairy legs, and one clipped one!!

I need to get some nice quiet trimmers that don't vibrate as much as my big (Liveryman Arena Plus) clippers, for my girl's tickly bits, particularly her hairy legs - I've seen the Liveryman Harmony ones working and they're lovely and quiet, but sooo expensive!

Can anyone recommend a set that can stand up to clipping feathers, are nice and quiet, but don't cost a fortune? I'm looking to spend £60 max, was thinking about something like the Elements?

Equally, does anyone have any they'd definitely not buy again, or wouldn't dare put near a hairy horror for fear the hair would win?

Any input much appreciated before I bite the financial bullet!

The harmony's are great. But most trimmers are not really designed for clipping feathers and will struggle if they are quite hairy. If you want some advise.....prob best to speak to a clippers specialist and they will help you. Clippersharp are always very helpful.

I have the liveryman element trimmers and think they are fab. They come with 4 attachment combs and are very quiet, ideal foe doing legs and face. Think they were about £60. deffinately a good buy.

I used to have the wahl trimmer which was good but I needed the combs for the trimming of legs.

My Wahl rechargeables (or the last pair) managed to trim/clip cobbie hairy legs fine with the standard blades on but found it hard with the ultra fine (though I doubt you'd want to go that short!

First pair lasted approx 10 years and were used regularly for heads, hogging, thick feathers, tail trims etc both on battery and mains. (the slightly dearer ones can be run on mains too)

Just bought another pair as the original battery is past recharging and I split the cable on the charger

Very quiet to run and little vibration - that said - our clipper phobic mare won't allow them any more than normal clippers

Thanks so much both of you. Those comments are really helpful

Neigh, you're right, and I am aware that they might not be too good, but luckily my lovely young mare has become more and more tolerant every time she's clipped, so I'm looking for a "path of least resistance" way to desensitise her to having her legs done rather than undo all the good work we've so far achieved!

Think I might try the Elements and see how we get on.

another vote for the element clipper- our nervous 3 year old has just had his 3rd blanket clip with them- yes you have to be patient as but they do the job. I have also done a hogged mane and clipped out legs *whispers* mine were delivered free for £57.95 from www.tackshop.co.uk
