What could cause my TB mare to be noticeably nippy at the moment and sometimes trip as if carelessly walking? Must add that she has had teeth done regularly and is in regular physio care, also just had new saddle fitted (what else is missing)? cannot notice any noticeable difference in her ridden behavior and I am very attuned to it as she has back issues that I am aware of (hence physic) just a little change in temperament when handled. She has always not liked being groomed just seems a little extra nippy recently. Only new thing is that she had a stifle injury a month ago (patellar was out but she then came sound without further treatment) - and farrier noticed she was a little stiff in her left hind (patellar was out in the opposite leg though). Any ideas_ or am I opening a can of worms for coming on here, horse is now on holiday as I am away so not worked until January, just brooding over this
